One of the greatest gifts for an author is to be invited
to read and/ or discuss writing and publishing processes with students. The following is an example of some
the areas I cover during an author visit. Of course, I am willing to tailor the visit to your particular needs.
Keep in mind that I would like to group school and library visits according to location. If you know
of other schools in your area that might enjoy this program, please let me know. I would consider reducing
my appearance fee if more than one school would enjoy having a visit.
Thanks

The Little Saguaro ~ El sahuarito
School/Library Visit Proposal
(Grades 5 – 6)
For Teachers/Librarians:
Prior to my presentation, I will ask you your preferences about how the reading is conducted.
For example:
Will this presentation include a book reading or just an author visit?
- Would you like the book read in just English, just Spanish, or both languages?
- Is this
book read for a language class, science class or writing class?
- Are you currently studying desert ecosystems?
- Would
you like for me to talk a little about the writing process? If so, what area of writing would you like me to address?
Please note:
In the event I am unable
to bring a Spanish speaking reader, I will need to ask someone from the school/ library to assist me.
